Lend a Hand Project

Giving back is something that we find very important, and we desire to do it more. This year we are hoping to make a bigger impact in our community. In order to do so, we have created our Lend a Hand Project, in which we will be focusing on a specific organization each month of the year. We will do our best to support these organizations through donations, volunteer services, and the promotion of these organizations through our website/blog and our social media platforms.

January

For the month of January, we created blessing bags, which are bags filled with essential living and health items, such as snacks, water, soap, deodorant, toothpast, etc. We delivered these bags to homeless individuals across Fort Worth. The sweet pup below helped out quite a bit too!

For the month of February, we will be showcasing the organization, Unbound North Texas. Unbound works within the community to increase awareness and educate professionals, students, and other community members on the issue of human trafficking and exploitation. They provide 24/7 crisis response and ongoing case management, in which they will walk alongside survivors throughout the entire post-process, provide support to families, and connect individuals with law enforcement and aftercare programs.

They have recently opened Tarrant County’s first-ever drop-in center, known as the Underground. Located in One Safe Place, the center offers trafficked and exploited youth meals, showers, safety, a place to sleep, and next step services, such as rehab, returning home, or other forms of shelter. This center allows this organization to intervene earlier, sparing youth from extra years of trauma.

What Are We Doing to Help?

In order to give back to this wonderful organization, Bottega Design Gallery has decided to donate a wide selection of earbuds and headphones for North Texas survivors. With these headphones, survivors will be able to have easy communication for virtual meetings with outside sources.

How Can You Help?

By joining the Ignite Team, you will be able to set up recurring donations for the Unbound organization. Unbound states that “a monthly recurring donation is the most powerful and sustainable way to support survivors in our community.”

You can simply give a one-time gift/donation to the Unbound North Dallas organization.

We all use Amazon, right? Did you know that by registering for Amazon Smile, 0.5% of your eligible purchases through Amazon will be donated to an organization of your choice? A little goes a long way!

Unbound North Texas always has a current list of items that are needed to support the survivors in our area. This is another great way of supporting this organization.

We are so excited to start this giving back initiative! We have been so blessed thanks to all of you. We want to return the favor to the community, especially to those who may not have had it as easy. If you have an organization that you are passionate about, please let us know! We would love to support them with our Lend a Hand project.
